Abstract

Water pollution is a serious problem that poses a significant threat to human health. The objective of this paper review effect water pollution on human health. Water covers about 70% Earth’s surface. Safe drinking water is a basic need for all humans. The WHO reports that 80% diseases are waterborne. The major sources of water pollution include industrial waste, agricultural runoff, sewage, and improper waste disposal. Water pollution can introduce harmful substances, bacteria, viruses, and parasites into water sources, which can cause various diseases, including gastrointestinal illnesses, skin diseases, and even cancer. Preventing water pollution and its effects on human health requires a concerted effort from individuals, organizations, and governments. This includes proper waste management practices, improving water treatment and disinfection processes, and raising awareness about the importance of clean water and the dangers of water pollution. By taking action to prevent water pollution, we can help to ensure a healthy and sustainable future for ourselves and future generations.
