Abstract

This study was conducted at the Poultry Research Station in Abu Ghraib, Department of Agricultural Research, Ministry of Agriculture, On a flock of laying hens (1600 laying hens) type ISA Brown at the age of 61 weeks for a period of 4 weeks. The aim of the study was to determine the percentages and types of table egg shell abnormalities in advanced productive flocks, and the results showed a significant increase (P <0.05) in the percentage of table egg shell abnormalities. With the aging of the chickens by 13.41% compared to the rest of the weeks, while the deformed eggs did not record significant differences during the different study weeks, while the deformities of the shell tissue recorded a significant increase (P <0.05) in the percentage of these abnormalities with the aging of the chickens at a rate of 8.45. As for the types of shape deformities (elongated ++, spherical + and spherical ++), a high significant increase (P <0.01) was recorded at 64th weeks of the chicken’s old compared to the rest of the weeks. As for the types of tissue abnormalities (calcification ++, wrinkle + and wrinkle ++) were recorded. High morale increased (P <0.01) at the 62nd week of the age of chickens compared to the rest of the study weeks. We conclude from our study that the increase in the incidence of abnormalities of table eggshell increases with the increase in the age of the chickens, especially the shape deformations (elongated ++, spherical + and spherical ++) and this eggs have an uneven appearance. Acceptable and its shelf old decreases during the course of the year store.
